Daniel Livestrong

Back in August when I registered for the 2009 NYC Marathon through the Lance Armstrong Foundation, I didn’t really know what to expect. Knowing that I had to raise $3500 to receive my marathon number, I figured I’d scrape and claw most of the way there and then donate the difference myself. I put my faith in the people around me and committed to raising the 3500.

With a week to go before Marathon Sunday, I officially hit the qualifying mark – Livestrong Donation Tracker and I have pledges to bring me over $4000.

Being the optimist that I am, I originally set a goal of $5000.

So the point of this email is threefold
1. To thank and congratulate you if you donated to Livestrong already – Thank You!!!
2. To ask for a donation if you haven’t had the opportunity to do so already – Please donate at Livestrong Donations
3. To talk briefly about cancer. I have learned so much about cancer in the last 3 months. Cancer has significantly affected the life of every person I’ve discussed Livestrong with. EVERY PERSON. It wouldn’t be a reach to say that every person I know has been affected by cancer.

Awareness and treatment has improved dramatically in the past decade, but so much more needs to be done and Livestrong and the legions of people/organizations that they work with are on a mission to eradicate cancer. If you have any doubts about the Livestrong commitment and strategy, visit the site – it is a groundbreaking approach to change the world we live in – LIVESTRONG.COM and LIVESTRONG.ORG

I’m extremely proud to a member of Team Livestrong NYC. Please help me make an even bigger impact than we already have. Thanks again. Seeya’ next Sunday!!!

Sincerely,

Daniel Seidler
